Legal Translation
The language of law
Legal translation involves the translation of texts governed by legal concepts, rights, obligations, procedures, or regulations. It requires precise terminology and careful attention to legal meaning and context.
What I do as a legal translator
- Translation of legal documents (contracts, agreements, regulations, court-related texts)
- Translation of highly complex or terminologically sensitive legal content
- Translation of audiovisual content with legal or institutional themes
- Language analysis and linguistic support for legal professionals
Working languages:
Spanish, English and French
Order is justice and responsibility. Legal language is familiar and accessible to me, and I take pride in unraveling it so that its messages can be conveyed to other audiences, with diverse purposes. And since legal also rhymes with technical, corporate, and audiovisual, I work on combined projects.
A few of my legal and legal-themed audiovisual projects:
Murder on a Sunday Morning Subtitles into LatAm Spanish, Amazon Prime, 2021
The State Against Mandela & The Others LatAm Spanish Subtitles QC, Netflix, 2019
Avocats & associés Subtitles into LatAm Spanish, TV5 Monde, 2010
