Translation Team Management & Quality Assurance (QA)
Building teams that work together
Translation teams perform best when individual work is evaluated and aligned with expectations. My role is to evaluate the suitability of translators and proofreaders for specific clients and projects, and to provide detailed reports to project managers and post-production supervisors.
Based in Montevideo, Uruguay, I work remotely with agencies and post-production departments, supporting English, French, and Latin American Spanish workflows.
How I support quality assurance
My work combines linguistic QA, observation, evaluation, and detailed reporting. I perform the following tasks:
- Designing and evaluating translation tests for prospective translators and proofreaders
- Preparing detailed reports for HR teams or project managers
- Monitoring the performance of translators and proofreaders
- Identifying individual and group strengths, as well as areas for improvement
- Supporting translators and proofreaders with linguistic and technical queries
Strong teams start with individual growth
Translation team management begins with understanding how people work. Observing how translators and proofreaders develop over time helps strengthen quality standards and provides project managers with meaningful information for future decisions.
By monitoring performance over time, I help agencies and post-production departments strengthen translation teams and thus support long-term quality.
Let’s get started.
